It all started with a simple idea: creating a new kind of visual novel that not only immersed players in rich storylines but also allowed them to control the outcome of each character's journey. As a die-hard fan of both renpy games and adult indies, I knew this combination could be incredible… And so, my quest began! One rainy Saturday afternoon, while sipping on copious amounts of hot chocolate (stained sleeves optional), I dove headfirst into researching various renpy engines and development tools. It wasn't easy learning code from scratch and balancing it with raising two rambunctious cats who seemed hellbent on ruining every last bit of progress I made. But, oh, the excitement! The thrill of seeing my first lines of script translate into rudimentary sprites walking across the screen was enough to keep me fueled through countless late nights staring at my monitor. Along the way, I discovered wonderful communities like reddit's /r/renpydev for support and feedback. Slowly, steadily, my vision materialized into something tangible: an adult adventure game set in Victorian London where players take on the role of a mysterious wealthy figure whose true identity remains shrouded until the very end. You navigate your character through complex webs of love triangles, political intrigue, and sinister secrets hiding beneath polished facades. The choices you make determine how each plotline unfolds, ultimately leading to one of multiple possible happy or tragic finales. Of course, being an adult game, romantic relationships play a significant part too. Now, after countless bumps along the road (aka crashes, bugs, and several coffee stains that will likely haunt my keyboard forever), I am finally ready to share my creation with the world.
